On September 25th, 2011, the training course „Forms and types of media messages” had begun at the School of Humanities and Journalism in Poznań. The classes, conducted in two groups using the activation method (workshops, exercises, conversation classes) have approximately 40 full-time and extramural students of cultural science.
During the course, the students will become acquainted with and understand the specifics of radio, television, the press and the Internet. They will analyse different forms and types of media messages, and the „secrets” of film recording. They will learn to write texts for broadcasts. They will learn to recognise how journalists make use of manipulation.
„Who reads the press and finds it to be very interesting then they definitely must read between the lines” – said Oscar Wilde as quoted by Antoni Styrczula, the former spokesman of the chancellery of former president of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, during one of the course's lectures.
The project is conducted in the winter semester of academic year 2011/2012.
